Go to the website of your support vendor - the ANCILE Intelligence Hub (https://support.ancile.com) or the SAP Service Marketplace - to obtain the latest Help Launchpad installation files.
Advanced options described in Steps 5 through 10 and graphical user interface features such as the tab display are available only in SAP versions 4.6 or higher.
Before you can provide context-sensitive help in SAP with Help Launchpad, three activities must occur:
- If you are using the optional Help Launchpad executable file, this file must be installed and accessible to everyone who is going to use the Context-Sensitive Help functionality through SAP.
Refer to Deciding on a Launch Method for information on alternatives to using the standard Help Launchpad executable.
- A person with SAP Basis experience must transport a file into the SAP R/3 or S/4 HANA ABAP system. The Help Launchpad transports make use of SAP development namespaces.
- After transport, the SAP Help Menu and HELP_START function module must be customized.
For advanced options associated with alerts, the FUNCTION_NAVIGATION_EXECUTE_OBJECT_HELP function module must be customized. To enable the logon alert functionality, the EXIT_SAPLSUSF_001 function module must also be customized.
